American Cancer Society-Cancer research-Largest nongovernmental funder of cancer research in the United States, having spent more than $4.5 billion on cancer research since 1946.
For more than a decade, this group of volunteers have dedicated themselves to providing hope, comfort and compassionate care to breast cancer patients and their families at The Kirklin Clinic of UAB Hospital. UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center- patient and family fund -If the financial cost of treatment exceeds a patient’s ability to pay, the Patient and Family Resource Center offers programs to cover medical and indirect expenses Continued philanthropic investments make these services possible.
This organization supports pediatric cancer research by funding various trials and studies both locally and nationally making strides toward finding a cure.

Chick4aCause LLC was founded in 2017 by Kirstin Hoff with a simple mission statement;

In 2014, diagnosed with invasive breast cancer at age 46, I made the choice to stay positive, full of hope, and rely on my faith. throughout my treatment. This was especially difficult when, during Chemo, I got an extreme case of C. Diff. Infection, that put me in ICU, doctors not sure if I would survive.
I came out of the battle with a deepened understanding of the importance of JOY, HOPE and FAITH. I believe that small positive actions can ADD UP to make a huge impact in the world and I have set forth to create a charity that will fulfill this mission.

Chicks are made individually using repurposed treasures representing that there are times in life that we feel worn out and tired, but with a little joy, we can be re-purposed and revitalized to make a new kind of beauty!
